Brooklyn-via-Portland (*note: Seattle! :D) quartet Little Anchor are both loyal to their name and completely opposite to it. Front-woman Alexa Cabellon may be small in stature, but what she might lack in height the band makes up for in overall pop largeness–filling the room with their lush arrangements and with Cabellon’s rich voice. On their dark, atmospheric cover of New Order’s “Age of Consent,” filmed live at Brooklyn waterfront venue Glasslands, Little Anchor are in fine form, filling the blue light with sound both soft and loud, tender and strong.
